The North-West Water Authority and the county organization of Hungarian Water Management Association had announced a competition for drawing in the theme of “Water in the human culture from the prehistoric ages to date” on the occasion of the International Day of Water.
In this year the jury could choose the best drawings from more hundred ones.
At 2 o’clock 22nd March the makers of the best drawings were rewarded in the council-hall of the local council in Tatabánya.
Dorogi Norbert, Batalka Anett, Pallag Evelin, Kovács Mónika, Junger Fanni, Reim Zsolt, Urbanik Áron and Fülöp Kata were rewarded individually.
Czövek Mercédesz, Bános Roxána, Horváth Ildikó, Berei Aliz and Pardi Renáta received a team reward for their work “Visit of Empress Theodóra at blue-well spring”. 

2006. március 21-én iskolánk vendége volt Horváth Ernő tanár úr, az Eötvös József Gimnázium történelem-ének szakos pedagógusa, aki egyben a Bakfark Bálint Művészeti Iskola fafúvós tanára is.
A "Víz az életünkben, környezetünkben" projekt keretében tartott előadást arról, hogyan ihlette meg e természeti elem a különböző korban és földrajzi helyen élő zeneszerzőket. Felcsendült Händel Vízizene, Smetana Moldva, végül Debussy A tenger című művéből egy-egy részlet.
A lebilincselő muzsika és a hozzáfűzött érdekes magyarázat felejthetetlen élménnyel gazdagította az érdeklődő gyerekeket.

Horváth Ernő, the music and history teacher of Eötvös József Secondary Grammar School and teacher of wooden wind instruments at Bakfart Bálint Art School, was the guest of our school on 21st March 2006.
With reference to “Water in our life and environment” project he talked of the musicians from different ages and geographical places, who were caught by this natural element. Extracts of Water music by Handel, Moldva by Smetana and The Sea by Debussy resounded.
The fascinating music and his added annotation enriched the inquiring children with memorable experience.

January 2006
- Our school placed third in the contest „Decorate our town for Christmas holiday” in the category of institutes.  Decorating was under the direction of Nagygyörgy Lászlóné.
 - The craft study group made an exhibition from the project works made last year. Teacher: Szénási Mihályné
- Káldy Lajosné, the leader of the day-care team organised a practical class, where the children made decorations for the carnival.
